By booking a session, workshop, or event at The Pottery Shed Swinfen, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Booking & Payments
- A non-refundable £6 studio fee is payable upon booking – this secures your spot in the studio, and covers your paints, glaze and firing fee
- Full payment for your painted ceramic is made at the end of your session
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
- Booking fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Bookings can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability.
- If a cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the session, the booking cannot be moved to another date.
- No-shows will forfeit their deposit and session fee.
Workshops & Events
- Workshops require full payment in advance to secure your spot.
- Workshops are non refundable events
- We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a workshop if minimum attendance is not met. In this case, an alternative date or refund will be offered.
Pottery Collection & Storage
- Painted pottery requires 10-14 days for glazing and firing, please note that during busy periods this timeline may increase.
- Once ready, pottery must be collected within 4 weeks of notification. Due to storage limitations, uncollected pieces may be discarded after this period.
- Please book an appointment to collect your items within 4 weeks since you receive your text message confirmation. After that time, all uncollected items will be discarded.
- We take every care during the firing process, but occasional imperfections may occur due to the nature of the Kiln firing process.
Liability & Safety
- All visitors must follow studio guidelines for handling pottery, tools, and materials.
- Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- We are not responsible for personal belongings left in the studio.
Photography Policy
- We may take photos of customers’ creations for promotional use on social media and our website.
- If you prefer not to be photographed, please let us know upon arrival.
By booking and attending a session at The Pottery Shed Swinfen, you acknowledge and accept these terms & conditions.

Food & Drinks Policy at The Pottery Shed
To help us maintain a clean, safe, and enjoyable studio environment, we kindly ask customers not to bring their own food or drinks into the studio.
We’re happy to provide a good selection of hot and cold drinks, including children’s drinks, as well as a small variety of snacks and cookies (subject to availability) for you to enjoy during your visit.
For everyone’s safety:
- Food and drinks must be kept away from clay, tools, glazes, and equipment
- Drinks should be placed only in designated areas
- Hands should be washed thoroughly before consuming food or drinks
